A few days before, YouTube has has launched its new policy called 'advertiser friendly policy. according to this policy, some of the content is flagged as inappropriate by you-tube, i will tell you about that content and its types which is said to non advertiser friendly content. i will tell you that how can you prevent this non advertiser friendly content. down below are the types of videos that are inappropriate for ads or non advertiser friendly videos.
Content that is 'non advertiser friendly includes the following
1. adult content or partially nude content
according to this point, no ads will be shown on the videos that contain nude content or partially nude content or adult humor content, so avoid making these kind of videos if you want ads on your videos. such videos cannot be monetized. you may get millions of views on such videos but no ads will displayed so you will earn 0 money from them.
2. Violence or road accidents or injury videos
you might have seen many such videos on YouTube in which a road accident or other accident is shown where there is lots of blood, now YouTube has decided to demonetize such content, even if the content is animated. Avoid using the words like "Hell" or Damm in video titles because they are said to be strong language.
3. promoting drugs or use of drugs in video
no need of further explanation, topic might had cleared the point that if there is content related to any kind of drug promotion of its use will be considered as non advertiser friendly content.
4. controversial or sensitive content
according to this point you cannot get ads on content which contains any pictures or videos clip of events including war or any kind of natural calamity, though you can explain it verbally but there should be no pictures related to it or the content will be non advertiser friendly. and the topics which contains political conflicts will also be flagged as non advertiser friendly. graphics or animations also included in this category .
NOTE. even if you prevent the content written above, your video can still can be flagged as inappropriate for ads. it is cleared in YouTube ads serving policy, YouTube can demonetize any video it wants.
Now some of you might want to know that YouTube really checks for such content ?
the answer is yes. they dont check each and every content manually but the whole process is automated.
YouTube checks the tags, meta description, title, visual content, to find out the category of the videos.
Once the checking is done then ads will start displaying on your video automatically.
try to avoid getting flagged by anyone, this can demonetize your content.
